Civil Aviation Resource Network News on March 17, 2023: According to Simpleflying, two pilots of the Indian airline SpiceJet were drinking coffee in the cockpit of a Boeing 737 (related reading>>Be careful with the cup of coffee on the cockpit joystick! ), it is reported that the flight from Delhi to Guwahati was carried out on the same day. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India (DGCV) has launched an investigation to clarify the details of the incident after the two pilots failed to comply with the Indian aviation industry's rules on the enjoyment of food and drinks in the cockpit.

 

After this photo went viral on the Internet, it aroused the indignation of many netizens, "the coffee cup has no lid, and it is precariously placed on the joystick." The plane was deduced to be at a cruising altitude of 37,000 feet (11,277 meters) when the photo was taken.

 

On March 14, India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) responded to a call to action from netizens who saw the photo on the Internet and criticized the wrongdoing of the two pilots, saying it had endangered the safety of passengers.

 

The DGCA has communicated with SpiceJet to request the identification of the two pilots and to punish them as required. SpiceJets has decided to ground the two pilots involved.
